man, it really is a small minority and yo, they are HEAVILY discriminated against. I've never been to a country that so blatantly and pervasively espoused "white is right"...I was there a couple months ago and I saw literally ONE billboard that didn't feature a lily white 'latino'...and the woman was only on that billboard because she was a tennis star...and she wasn't even that dark...just not white.

Mexico got a HUGE colour problem. Most of the rich people are super white and most of the poor people are dark skinned and not white, and the poor mestizos are largely ignored.

Its crazy cause you go to their churches and they praise these ultra paste glue looking folks too then you turn on the TV and its more Elmer's on TV then you see men in business suits white, white white white, then you look at the poor and they're dark.

I was shown love in mexico, and I like the place. I'd like to return but I'm really glad I've been able to do some travelling while I'm young to see how the world can be. Its repulsive and sickening but beautiful like the sweetest notes from a guitar. You just have to accept both sides or else you're fd

LOL Mexico had a lot of slaves imported from Africa. In Mexico city greater area, around 1800, black slaves and afro-native indian mixes accounted for 40% of the population. Black men outnumbered Black women by a 3-1 ratio, during the spanish colonial period in mexico. Black men married native indian women a lot mostly to give their children an opportunity to be free from eternal slavery at the times. And native indian liked black men better than their own men. A lot of these messicans have clearly black blood in them.

It's funny you say you were shown love cuz I was too. People were mad nice to me. But it's probably because they thought I was American and probably thought I was an athlete (I have a basketball build and I'm 6'4).

It's true what you say--that these foreign and exotic places that we idolize are also rife with serious societal issues that we don't get to see because Western news media is only concerned with white people and other white Western issues.

When you travel you realize that as a world society we are still very immature in regard to human rights and social awareness.
