Is it just me or with madlibs latest production the vocals always sound mad louder than the beats?
A lot of this production is mad muffled and too minimalistic, not in a good way.
This the reason I didn't really fukk with the new black star either.

I'm only one listen in and I agree, I don't see this growing on me much.Madlib and Muggs gave dude the most Boring beats in the stash......I'm so damn tired of these boring ass griseldaesque weirdo beats. This whole trend gotta stop asap. shyt wasn't even that dope when it started and now it spread like wildfire. Beats sound like some shyt from a 70's horror flick. No type of melodies or grooves. Just random ass screeching sounds over weak ass drums. fukk outta here.
Wheres the soul and melody? At parts I can't even really hear the beats, a lot of the beats are just two bar loops with the same old drum breaks.
Like I dunno why theyre listening to samples and thinking these are the dopest parts to use for beats.

I grew up on boom bap.. I like what the new generation is doing somewhat production wise but the drums are WEAK. We need some DITC, Old primo type shyt.

Literally my only beef with this album is classic beats like African Pompano and Triple M Airlines are wasted by being criminally short songs. I DESPISE the trend of shorter tracks, give these beats room to breathe!
