They just remind me of the dark ages of underground hip hop. What really killed the Backpack movement.

I checked out the first 2 czarface projects and I wasn't feeling the shyt at all. Especially the production.
They grew on me.

INS is dope. MF Doom is dope even though I haven't listened to him in ages. 7L and Esoteric are alright. Halfway through the album though...I feel like I'm forcing myself to like it. It just doesn't sound all that good production wise. TBH, U-God's new album is better, and no that's not a joke

But the beats are still better than most of that Run These Jewels shyt :mjlol::mjlol:

I just got done listening to thia yesterday. I'll say this Doom has sounded better than he has in 6 or 7 years. 7L and Esoteric are better now than they were in the 2000s imo. But this was not angreat showing for the rebel INS. The production is all over the place and I don't love it though.

This album is a 6/10 but Doom elevates it a notch to 7/10.

By then I had long tuned out. I saw that nerd core wave coming from a mile away.

Rappers rapping about rapping and saying nothing or bytching about rap were the general topics. "I'm so anti-mainstream" :bryan:

The only people left from that era of the underground are dudes who could actually make music. The rest faded into obscurity :blessed:

Take dilated for example... Evidence was a regular mc and he translated well into this era but.. Raka was trash he was the prototypical underground rapper.

Was pretty excited for this and I saved it for a long drive I had last night. I's say it's pretty forgettable. I don't think it's trash, but there wasn't really anything that caught my attention. Definitely a lot :flabbynsick: flow on there. Operation: Doomsday is one of my favorite albums oat, but he's gotten lazy. It's a shame.
