They only saying that in the media cuz marijuana legalization is gaining steam. There have been plenty of studies and government tests on marijuana and none of them have resulted in cannibalism. Bath salts might not stay in your body long too.

They mentioned that he was schizophrenic and I think studies show that marijuana can exacerbate symptoms of people predisposed to schizophrenia.

But also take into consideration that THC the binds to fatty tissue and can stay in your system from up to 30 days after use, so marijuana use could have possibly been a non factor. It could trigger a psychotic episode but being schizo doesn't turn you into a violent psychopath but they leave out details of his previous arrests he could very well have a history of violence. Too many missing pieces to say why this happened.

That dude was on Bath Salts for sure. It can't be traced in your system after so many hours. He may have smoked weed sometime in the last 30 days or so, however. They should test him for nicotine and alcohol consumption as well… and push to make those substances illegal.
