Usually I stay on South Beach but if you're looking to spend more on activities, don't be afraid to stay in Miami proper.

Rule of thumb for me is: Eat in Little Havana / Little Haiti / Little Jamaica (depending on your food tastes). Spend your day on South Beach. Party in Fort Lauderdale. The carnival itself should be enough partying as is so just enjoy!

fam I’m going down Miami for the first time to for carinval weekend and the FSU and hurricane game what are some spots to hit for that Friday

I will be there too. Touch down thurs morning. Might hit a couple of the Socavivor events, jouvert (obviously) and the parade

A little bit of both. If you go on a saturday night, it’s more like a club with strippers. If you go on a regular day then it’s more like a strip club where you can drink, watch tv, but you will get approached and offered dances which are only 5 bucks. Yeah 5 bucks. And if you wearing shorts, they sneak their hands in your short legs and grab your meat.

I agree to an extent. I lived in NY and LA for a while but I feel like Fl takes it to an extreme. I feel as if at least in NY they build the projects a couple blocks down from the luxury condominiums...in FL they build mansions across the street from huts...but I see your point lol

Did you leave NYC 10 years ago? Cause as of 2018 they are def condos and million dollar homes across the street from the projects.
