Because of the wet-foot/dry-foot policy there are very few cubans who are actually "illegal" immigrants. Most of them already have their green cards thanks to that policy. It would be dumb not to. THey, for the most part, have no worries

Haitians, Jamaicans, Nicaraguans, Dominicans and Hondurans on the other hand....

I interviewed for a job in the U.K. last week. I wonder if i could donate my citizenship to a fellow fellow caribbean breh in need.:jbhmm:

Now that you mentioned wet foot/dry foot, I think it was mostly put in place because of the conditions in Cuba. Immigrants that get returned to their home countries like Mexico just go back to their daily lives and families until they try again. Immigrants that try and escape Cuba without success get faced with jail or even death. But then again, that policy is more to give them rights in this country which other immigrants don't have which i don't believe is fair. They should've tried to fix the problems in Cuba instead.

What trips me out is when people call illegal aliens "immigrants". "Immigrants" are people who lawfully come to a country. Illegal aliens are those that break the law to enter the country.

An immigrant is a person that emigrated to their current country legally or otherwise if we want to get into semantics. Anyways, everyone but Native Americans (their land) and black people(kidnapped) are here 'illegally' so we can get off that self-righteous, faux news nonsense.

Breh you just reaffirmed what I said. Obviously natives and kidnapped slaves are the only actual non illegals in the americas. But that's looking to deep. In our modern history dating about a century or 2 back is what we are talking about. Because if you really want to get into semantics the world is everyones. But the bias is crazy when someone calls an illegal alien an immigrant. That just isn't correct usage of the word, and its almost sympathy seeking.

I gotta look up the stats but they might be second to Cubans as far as illegal immigrants is concerned in South Florida. It's harder for them tho since it's a longer trip if they come by sea.
They come thru Bahamas aint nothing new...work their way up.

Why no one ever mentions that some of the Natives were Aboriginal (darker skin aka black) also.

WRONG!

Thing about it:

Cuban immigrants that made it to LAND (dry foot) got to stay and were given a green card automatically once they check out
Cuban immigrants that were intercepted AT SEA (wet foot) got returned home and handed over to Cuban authorities

If you gave a damn that much about their well being in Cuba when they returned why didnt you take them all in?

Take your time. I'll wait

I swear Coli posters are dumb as fukk. Mexicans and El Salvadorians who make up most of the 11 million illegal immigrants aren't really out in Miami or Florida in general like that...

This affects Haitians way more so slow down with the cheering because this is gonna be affecting Black people in Miami.

...

Undocumented immigrants in Miami-Dade come mostly from Central and South America — largely from Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Colombia and Venezuela, according to a new study that pinpoints foreign-born residents down to the county level.
