Air Nikes N Hats
Poor mans Johnny Football Lifestyle!
The ripple effects of Jeffrey Loria's swindle....can't blame the politicians. Loria made them all look bad, and they don't want a repeat.
They're threatening to move the team unless they get public money for the stadium.![]()
And it's something they can clearly do themselves.
This stadium hustle is really making these people bold.![]()

does anybody know why they cant do another expansion team to la???
why is it that we need to poach the jags vikes or dolphins...
i mean an expansion team to la is like the equivalnet of 2 teams as far as revenue...
But money talks.sicc2def said:Where did this logic come from?

Same old song.
The NFL could fund new stadiums for every team in the league many times over, but they would rather hold the threat of moving franchises over everyone's head.
People are still angry that the city agreed to use taxes to pay for three-quarters of the Marlins stadium, only to have Jeffrey Loria repay the favor by trading away their best players within a year of moving in.
It doesn't matter that the Dolphins are asking for one-third as much money as the Marlins, and that they promise to pay half the cost. People are still mad about it.![]()
The REAL problem here... is Roger Goodell. By basically telling the Dolphins they cannot host another Super Bowl until the perform some upgrades.. he is putting additional pressure on a franchise that hasn't been generating a ton of revenue as of late. They could still host a bigger and badder Super Bowl at Sun Life stadium. Goodell continues to try and push the brand and the envelope.. and in a time when people are hurting financially.. no one wants to talk about putting extra money up for a Stadium.. The Dolphins are unique in that.. they actually OWN their stadium. Knowing that... they put a comprehensive plan out to have the tourists essentially pay for HALF of the improvements. Steven Ross, the owner, offered to put up half. (How many other owners have paid for even 25% of upgrades) The people of South Florida would not have paid a cent for it.. However, they would have benefited with jobs in construction for the stadium and COUNTLESS dollars infused into the economy during premiere events that an improved stadium would surely bring. The politician who didn't not allow this to be voted upon should be ashamed of himself for preventing economic growth in South Florida. By the way Roger.. when you passed Miami up.. I am telling you right now.. Every Dolphin fan giggled with glee with the lights fiasco at the last Super Bowl.
You keep rewarding Super Bowls to cities who have their tax payers foot the bill for billion dollar stadiums they don't really need... in a time of economic hardship. You keep douching up the safety rules without thinking outside the box. Keep eroding away the integrity of the game. You may end up being single-handedly responsible for the downturn of the worlds best sports brand.
no way a team leaves miami to go to la
the rams moved from la to st. Louis and the raiders to oaklanddoes anybody know why they cant do another expansion team to la???

Read more here: Early-vote tally shows Miami Dolphins stadium renovation was failing at polls - Dolphin Stadium Referendum - MiamiHerald.comThe Miami Dolphins’ short-lived campaign for a subsidized Sun Life Stadium renovation appeared doomed from the start.
A majority of Miami-Dade voters who cast ballots in the special stadium election before it was called off opposed the $350 million makeover, according to a count the elections department released late Tuesday.
The tabulation showed that among the 60,678 voters who voted by mail or at early-voting sites, 34,780 — about 57 percent — opposed the Dolphins’ proposal, compared to 25,898 — or 43 percent — who favored it.
The vote tally, though revealing partial results for an incomplete election, provides a snapshot of the opinion of voters who voted early, despite not knowing whether their ballots would ultimately count.
