Everything on this show was hyped. I remember this episode but somehow over the years the race doesn't seem as impressive now. But it was a great idea back in 1986.

Not gonna lie me and one of my cac boys back in college crushed a halloween party as Crockett and Tubbs.

It's been a few years I need to rewatch the Michael Mann film with Foxx and Farrell.

The movie is in my personal top 5

as a pure exercise in cinema, it just moves. Breakneck pace almost. It's an exercise in almost pure style. There's some obvious flaws, that all Mann's movies post 2004 have, script has some bad lines, but other than a funny accent from Farrell, or a bad line from Gong Li, there's not really that much there to hate. He switches the deep character development for shorthand nods and knowing looks.

it's maybe the most gorgeously shot movie I have ever seen.

Mann's one of my favorite Director's. Heat's my all time favorite movie. I just for whatever reason never bought the Miami Vice DVD so I don't re-visit it enough. Looks like it's currently on Starz. So I'll fire it up this weekend. to watch.

Remember when everyone used to plan their nights out around this show(not leaving till the episode is over..my family were doing the same with Dallas and Falcon Crest)
Bruce Willis as a wife beating arms dealer
The ending of that episode was nice, wife with the get-back soon as he walked out of the courtroom..

Crockett "NOOOOOOOO"*POW* :lolbron:

That must have happened on VICE about a dozen times lol

That became a TV/movie trope itself too, with the courtroom vigilante justice. That's a standard on all cop shows.

This show as slippery as fukk man. Over the past 2-3 years the shyt was on….

Starz
Peacock
Amazon Prime
Tubi
Apple TV…

Never simultaneously and available on none of them at this point. Once upon a time I “bought it” on Amazon Prime only to receive a prompt that the license has expired :why:

Is there any coincidence that the only place I can find it now is on an actual channel so you don’t have any options as how you view it in terms of episodes, seasons, rewinding etc.

Wtf lol
