Lots of people don't even know these albums exist.. Mega has a very small, extremely enthusiastic cult following that thinks everything he releases is perfect...Not really, lots of people think those two are classic. Infact a lot think True Meaning is too.

Okay man, its all good...Mega has sold way over 300 thousand records by the way, to me that's more than a few people. Also he's been on platinum albums too.
Does any of this mean the Realness isn't classic?Lots of people don't even know these albums exist.. Mega has a very small, extremely enthusiastic cult following that thinks everything he releases is perfect...

Does any of this mean the Realness isn't classic?
Are you saying it didn't make enough waves amongst heads in 2001?
Who cares if casual fans didn't know about it or pick it up.
With all of that said - I think Mega's got 3 4.5 mic albums.

Even if every single person that bought his album said it was classic, that's still a relatively small sample size...
Fun fact - I bought the realness twice.I was challenging his definition of "a lot".... That's all...

There has to be some minimum threshold though - Mega clearly meets the standard. An album isn't classic due to the fame of it, it's about the quality of the music. Mega has a solid fan base. By that criteria we could say a lot of classic albums weren't because they weren't mainstream.

Yeah - but to take what you are saying to the limits of logic - that would mean I could record an album - never play it for anyone - and it still be a classic.I don't think there does at all, I think it's music, even if a classic album is not heard by less than 100 people it's still a classic. EG: Let's say Infamous never blew and was local to QB, would it still be a classic? Yes to me because of the QUALITY of the music.
