In the midst of a turbulent offseason, Henderson was suspended indefinitely on July 10 for a violation of team rules. According to police reports obtained by USA TODAY Sports this summer, Henderson had three run-ins with police in Oxford, Miss., including one stop in which Henderson was found in possession of marijuana and cocaine. This wasn't the first time Henderson had run-ins with the law or battled drug issues.

Henderson will be suspended for the Rebels' exhibition game Nov. 1 against South Carolina-Aiken as well as the team's season opener Nov. 8 versus Troy. Additionally, Henderson will miss Ole Miss' first two Southeastern Conference games —a Jan. 9 game vs. Auburn and a Jan. 11 matchup at Mississippi State.
