The Truth
Only our community focuses so much on “coolness” & “swag”

:mjlol:
Thats what I can’t stand sometimes

I remember growing up, my older sister told me to fukk what people think is cool or lame... be yourself. Thats when I stopped giving af about what people thought and did me.

I would box, play football, play basketball with the “cool” nikkas, but would still be in math class getting my paper copied off of (I was 2 grades ahead and in classes with my sister and her friends), or be in art class drawing cartoons, or be chilling with the “nerds” talking about comics, etc.

None of what people think about you matters in the real world outside of your occupation.

Like, I'm confused. Whatever he's doing is working because he's booked and busy. Clearly corny works for him :yeshrug:

Yeah, corny is one of those words I don't put much stock in.

9 times out of 10, it is said when someone doesn't understand what someone is doing.

Someone who has purpose in highschool would be viewed as corny by the directionless who waste their potential.

exactly all of the driven kids tend to be cornballs or lames to the majorities same as in college...Only when the money comes in do they suddenly become stars...Even a lot of the popular music artist were seen as wannabes or frauds until they got on.

Whats the fuss about? :yeshrug:

He was a young black teen, in hood ass Brick City, into the arts, and likely doing theater, and auditioning. I'm sure he was a square to the dread head goonies, rockin Gores, and runnin around gang-bangin, catchin bodies. :dead:

The females back then, probably felt the same, cuz they were chasin dopeboys. Whose laughin now tho? :umad:

Like someone above said; they peaked then, and he wasn’t there yet. I remember telling a girl in high school I wanted to be an engineer. Said it was boring and corny :francis:

All I did was just stick to my plan.

Anyways, all that and this comes from ignorance. He doing his thing now, and got the pretty girl. I hope the best for him, and I hope the best for this woman

I don't take this as a diss or hating. It was prolly true of Michael B Jordan, just like its true for most men that make it big in life. The type of men women go after in high school are typically those who exhibit extremely destructive behavior that is not conducive for long term success. The men who make it big in the long term are typically the corny nerdy types. That's because they have something the "thugs" women like in high school don't have. DISCIPLINE.

Discipline is what makes you successful in life. Not impulsive behavior. The guys who get the girls in high school exhibit impulsive overtly masculine behavior which birds are attracted to. Little do they know that sort of behavior has a short shelf life. Just like their p*ssy.

That's why I always say young men should focus on their paper and nothing else. That's how you win the game of life in the long run.

It was an HBO show and the ratings weren’t that good when it was in syndication the acclaim of it grew over time
Are you suggesting his classmates didn’t know he was on a TV show? :usure:

Edit: He was also in Hardball by then too. They knew who he was. Either they hated on him in spite of (or because of) his celebrity or this miserable bytch is capping
