We still talking about this old and tired light skin vs black skin bullshyt. I won't deny that there are some inherent biases in society based on your look but as it relates to this, this is stupid.

Kevin Durant and Lebron were MVP before Steph Curry. There isn't a trend of denying darker skin brothers MVP, its only an issue because only recently a light skin brother has won and we're acting like several years before didn't exist.

Klay could pass for arab, if you haven't noticed that's not a popular look to the bigoted middle class. Cacs aint outchea claiming DJ Khald, Vlad, or French Montana. Ofcourse they would rather them than the alternative black person, but they aint trying to claim or move as many arabs as they can over here.

Curry looks very much on the line of black and white, much more white than black. Cacs dont look at Curry and Blake Griffin the same way they look at Klay.

Think about Reggie Miller. He was shades darker than Curry, and shot a ridiculous amount of 3s in his era, for sure a similar match to Curry shooting and a better overall player. Where cac media losing it's mind over Miller the same way? Nope, shyte, Miller even played in Indiana, that's Cac state. His number 2 was Rick Smits and nobody cared because he was a few shades too dark.

Breh you high as hell. Stephen Curry just had one of the greatest Regular Seasons in NBA History, hell maybe even THE best. Everybody wants to see him play, Blacks, Whites, Mexicans, Asians, Martians. His appeal comes from the fact he doesn't have a 60 inch vertical or look like some kind of monster on the floor. He looks regular as shyt and dominates a game played by giants.

Reggie Miller, according to all these color struck folks harping on this, is light skinned, too. So there's light skin and lighter skin?

Stephen has the Christian values demo. Married young, cute kid interrupting press conferences (white people went in on them for bad parenting/black people claimed the little girl was only getting attention because she's light), beautiful wife and a traditional household that America loves to see. To top it off, he was literally born into the league. I had no idea men cared about this stuff, really

I keep seeing this light/dark rhetoric, especially on tumblr. I can't imagine being focused on skin color that much. Don't even think too much about white people, questioning their privilege won't pay my bills. I just move through life knowing success is always mine.

People are talking about bias. Media bias and white supremacy. It's a global problem and the media has been running this propaganda at us for a while. They have been trying so hard to find a player who they can boost as the best in the world who Is white or does not look black.

Steve Nash was a great example of this, remember his Mvp? The hype of Blake as a great dunker isn't unwarrented but remember how ridiculous it was that every single Blake dunk was the greatest thing on ESPN? Everybody knows where the bias is coming from, it's pretty clear, but it shouldn't diminish Curry or Blake as players because they are both great... Just not "first-unanimous-MVP-in NBA history" level great or "greatest in game dunker ever" level great.

Has less to do with light skin black, Reggie Miller was light skin, it has more to do with a movement. It's similar to Eminem in rap, nobody is saying He not talented or great, but greatest of all time? Really? Out of all these black skinned participants, really? What are the odds of that? What are the odds of one of the palest in the league,Curry, being the first unanimous mvp in NBA history, in a league where Jordan, magic, Kobe, etc,. Played? What are the

What the odds that Eminem, one of the palest rappers, in a history of dark skin people would be pushed as the greatest rapper of all time? This is America, this is what has always been done, single slavery.

His team had the best record in NBA history, greatest season by a single player tho breh, naaaaaaah:francis:

Kobe has averaged more points in a season and lead league in wins and still wasn't unanimous mvp, the same for Jordan and Wilt. Should he be mvp, maybe, but unanimous? With lebron in the same league as him? Unanimous? :camby:

Blake one of the great Dunkers for sure, but so is Deandre Jordan. I never once heard media try to tell me Deandre Jordan is the greatest dunker of all time.

It's like a boss who hires his son at work, maybe his son is hard working and deserves his ridiculously fast promotions and acts of favoritism, but there is always clearly going to be a ** that it's nepotism. The same thing applies to Curry and Eminem

I get what you're saying but comparing him to Eminem (more like Drake)doesn't float either. Bottom line is Curry isn't white, he doesn't look white. He is light, so that does help make him more palatable, but that's only a small part of it. Look at the players you mentioned. Kobe had a rape scandal, Magic had the HIV scandal, Jordan had gambling/infidelity and so on....

Then you have Stephen, speaking publicly about his Christian values, he looks small and unassuming, has a charismatic kid, charismatic wife who stays at home/cooks, storybook season - of course the NBA was going to milk it for money and publicity.

There will always be the search for the great white hope, in football, basketball, boxing---Curry maybe be safer, but he isn't that.

Fair enough. I don't agree ( for example the timing of the Kobe rape scandal or Jordan's demons being public knowledge at the time, or magic's HIV), but that's a good argument and I can respect your opinion on it, no doubt.

Man, woman, and child
Why is this even a topic:mjlol:

MVP always goes to the best player on the best team and the Rockets suck

On top of that Curry had one of the best individual seasons ever if they win the whole thing. It's clear who watches basketball in here and who doesn't

so were jordan, mcadoo, moses malone, magic johson, olajuwon, karl malone,s haq, garnett, lebron james, kevin durant light skin?

I think Dyson is referring to the notion Harden would win over Curry even if Harden had a better MVP year. The reason so many dark skins win MVP in the NBA isn't because of equality but because dark skins are so athletically dominant relative to other races. You might as well say racism doesn't exist if you think dark skin people winning NBA MVP means light skinned and non-black people aren't favored in the same circumstances.
