paragraphs like this one are why i don’t take these effeminate Twitter-dwelling bootlickers seriously:

Anyone who grew up in a household that forbade talking during thunderstorms understands Black people’s semi-religious relationship with sodium bicarbonate. In Black households, baking soda is a toothpaste for the Crest-fallen and a deodorant for Tussyless grandmothers. I still keep it in my refrigerator, although I don’t quite know what it does.

their idea of blackness is a romanticized, toni morrison-esque tragedy in desperate need of a liberal white savior.

That was a pretty reasonable article. I wonder if people are able to read what's being said and reflect on it without deflecting.

I think this was the most import part(s):
Cubes arrogance is that he can't acknowledge that his little "plan" already has existed before and he thought his celebrity entitled him to more political access than he expected.

this was the dagger:

But let’s say I’m wrong. Let’s say I’m just a stupid baking soda aficionado who doesn’t know what I’m talking about. Hypothetically, let’s imagine that you had the cure for four centuries of white supremacy, political disenfranchisement, economic inequality and plain old racism. Let’s say you wrote them down, and all you needed was someone with a platform and a position that could tell the world about this ingenious plan.

WHY WOULD YOU TELL TUCKER CARLSON?

You're no different from Ice Cube :camby:

It’s crazy that Trump, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Jordan Petersen and other conservative/alt-right personalities make so much more sense to me than these liberals. We really need to reconsider our allegiances. :francis:

Funny how "free thinker" gang all believe the same exact things. It's always the same right wing babble while they throw up their hands and say "I'm not political, I don't fukk with either party." Yea ok.

that’s the most hilarious part…they’re just blindly parroting someone else’s mantra…no true “free” thought or “outside the box” thinking at all.

my taste buds haven’t adjusted to the varied flavors of white supremacy the way yours have.

You've been thrown your lot in with white supremacists, you smarmy fukk.

fukk the Democratic party. :mjlol:

This reads like fake news. DNC is conspiring with the media to turn out the black vote. It isn't going to work. :umad:

I’m not voting for anyone that isn’t about cutting that check. I’ll take my chances with Trump. :yeshrug:

Trump all the way. :win:

So many black people don't realize Biden & Harris is far WORSE than Trump & Pence.

The biggest problem with your analysis of "well they still vote for democrat" is that...the numbers are slipping and have been since 2016. You keep denying this or the reasons I'm telling you why.

Here are the main issues:

  1. LGBTQIA+
  2. Immigration
  3. Civil Rights (police brutality etc)
  4. everything else (including fringe but impactful reparations convos)

The high water mark was Obama and sometimes I wish he had never become president because it would inevitably lead to more disappointment and disinterest and dejection etc.

Its gotten more nihilistic since online voices, which ARE HAVING AN EFFECT, have hinged everything on reparations (that will never happen) and are pushing more people away from voting.

The only thing saving the historic black vote is EVEN GREATER revanchist white supremacy that we're seeing in the South right now motivating people into action.
I disagree. Why would I expect an old white man to replicate the numbers Obama put up? We've got to stop expecting universal support or admiration from black people or black voters. More importantly, democrats do not need Obama-type black numbers in order to win elections. I said it earlier and will say it again: every 2-4 years the same group of influencers are trotted out to shame black people into voting and point to polls showing xyz is gonna happen. And it never pans out. 2024 turnout is going to be massive regardless of who wins.

You keep bringing up gay shyt and each time me or someone else shows you a poll stating LGBTQ issues are not a top concern for the vast majority of voters. Nobody cares about this shyt but the far right. And each time you say "yea but things are changing" yet never back that up. Nobody cares. I was told black people would abandon Obama for supporting gay marriage in 2012. Guess what? Didn't fukking happen. I was told trans shyt would cost democrats a massive loss in the 2022 midterms. Guess what? Didn't happen. I was told gay/trans people were getting too aggressive and it would cost Biden in 2020. Guess what? Didn't happen.

oh, wow. i can’t even fathom what would possess me to make a thread like that. the mindset behind those words is unrecognizable to me.

i think my dislike of kamala harris at the time clouded my judgement. i took considerable umbrage with how she cynically used her tenuous adjacency to blackness as an appeal to a community she spent decades criminalizing. the taste her candidacy left in my mouth was putrid.

but, you’re right. there was no excuse for me to even suggest trump’s presidency was a positive for black people.

that’s an L i deservedly earn.

We dont need to lose elections before problems are realized.

LGBTQIA+ issues ARE A PROBLEM FOR BLACK DEMOCRATS AND DEMOCRATS AT LARGE WHO ARE REPUBLICAN CURIOUS.

Are you black? do you talk to black men? This is CONSTANTLY brought up in disaffected black male voter circles. I'm black and was at the barber last week and when this shyt came up on the local news in the shop at least 3 barbers were talking about how this shyt has gotten out of control. WE ARE LOSING VOTERS TO TRANS ISSUES.

You know what else? Charter school discussions boosted DeSasntis' black voters numbers against Gillum too in 2018. Did you know this?

It doesn't matter if it's not a top concern. Maybe you personally get offended when I bring this up. But. Its. Not. True. Every political survey of this has picked up on this from democrat AND republican pollsters. Republicans see a window to appeal to ENOUGH black males to swipe votes based on anti gay, especially trans issues. Ive seen it in group chats!

We're talking about shifts in trends, and you are functionally demonstrably incorrect.

I like how you TLRepublican c00ns always use these shallow grade school attacks on men's masculinity to further your agendas.

As if anything this man--or by extension any "liberal" writer--says is instantly discredited because you think that he is "effeminate." And then of course the jump to "looking for liberal white savior daddy."

Typical right wing scumbag tactics. Yall run the same clearly learned and practice interference plays to disrupt any conversation that is critical of conservatives and their paid for house c00ns. Shaming anyone who is critical of them as soft, effeminate, somehow betraying their masculinity. It's getting old and obvious. TLR Trumpset needs to come up with new shyt.

She was a District Attorney and Attorney General and one of 12 black senators in US history. You mad at her or the game?
