I can cook better than most of the women I know. Sure there are women in my social circle/work/etc who are top shelf cooks but overall I think most people today have abandoned cooking. You got people out here who don't even drink water. Everything is bought from restaurants, takeout, etc.

It's funny because when I was in college I had to cook to eat. Chicken breasts, frozen veggies, POTATOES, beans, pasta. Now of days I hear about college kids eating out weekly. How lmao. Even now that I can afford to eat out, I avoid it usually unless I'm just tired. I love having a bean day where I just make some shyt that lasts for a few days. Recently made some lentil soup that came out amazing...I got enough leftovers for a few days. First leftover day I just have it as soup. Second leftover day I add rice to the pot, little more vegetable stock, and basically extend that dish for a couple more days. All with some cheap ass items anyone can afford (a bag of lentils are about $1, vegetable or chicken stock is $1-3 depending on the type, can of diced tomatoes is $1-2, bag of carrots are $2, cabbage or spinach are $2-3, etc).

I made that same lentil soup the other day, but had a ham hock in there for flavor, and it lasted me a few days. Soups and stews in a slow cooker with some rice be having you eating good with minimal effort :leon:

It's the GOAT move. And the best thing is that lentils never run out at stores. I've gone to the store countless times trying to get some black eyed peas only to find the entire shelf gone. But lentils are always there and they taste amazing lol.

They'll google a few recipes to reel you in....Once they start feeling complacent, you right. Most don't have it naturally like that nowadays

My homeboy told me about the time a chick cooked a meal for him and the white rice wasn't fully cooked. How do you mess up white rice?:mjtf:

I remember back when I was 20 and just moved into my own spot.Had this chick come over to spend a night.

We ended up making spaghetti for dinner...Or trying to make spaghetti for dinner. I know how to cook that shyt

in my sleep.I would soon find out this chick may have never made spaghetti in her life.Long story short, we was

supposed to make it together, but there was a basketball game on TNT.Can't remember who was playing, but it

had my attention.I'd already chopped up the vegetables, and she could see that my attention was on the game, so

she told me "Go watch the game.I got it from here, bae:queen:"......I go back into the living room to watch the game.A

couple TV breaks later, I get up to go check on her in the kitchen....I kid you not.....This chick dumped everything into

a pot of boiling water ALL AT THE SAME TIME.The hard pasta, raw ground beef, and veggies:damn:...I guess she figured

it would all come together like a Cup O'Noodles :mindblown:.Even tried to catch an attitude when she saw my face go:huhldup:
