TO never had a dominant run gm. Could u imagine the coverage he woulda got. And Troy Aikman is considered to be 1 of the most accurate passers in league history.

Yea but look at the playcalling. Young, Garcia, McNabb and Romo threw the ball 30-40 times quite often. Aikman rarely threw 25+ times. Plus having the GOAT workhorse in Emmitt takes away targets

fukk him

:hhh: at him being better than Moss

TO aint even a better receiver than Julio Jones:mjlol:
This is hyperbole though, Julio isn't in the same league.
:stopitslime: Irvin played on legendary teams, TO simply did not.
How much of a winner would Irvin be if he were drafted by the Cleveland Browns?
Yeah, but Jerry was also just as good as T.O. and did't cause a disturbance everywhere. T.O. not having rings is his own fault imho.

Irvin had better hands, which made him more reliable, especially in big games. TO was crazy explosive, but prone to drops. TO had some good performances in big games though. He redeemed himself in the Packers playoff game after dropping balls all day. He had that incredible performance in a Super Bowl Loss. Irvin was on better overall teams. The Niners teams he was on were flawed, even though they were making the playoffs. That Eagles team was pretty solid, but those Dallas teams in the 90's were all time, and not solely because of Irvin. If I were starting a team from scratch, I'd choose TO, if i needed one receiver to try and put my team over the top, i'd probably choose Irvin.

T.O. Played about as well or better in the Super Bowl as Michael Irvin did in his 3 appearances. The difference simply comes down to your team. In that same vain is it Larry Fitzgerald's fault he has no rings? Mind you he probably has the greatest playoff performance in NFL history.

I guarantee the majority of Irvin's #s came off playaction. If TO had that threat in the backfield, w/ a deadly accurate qb... :banderas:

What TO did w/ Jeff Garcia shoulda been enough to make him 1st ballot hof.

Owens might have been the best WR ever.

It's common to put him up there in the top 3 with Moss and Rice.

But to me you could take any of them at #1.

Owens was that dominant. And he didn't see the targets that other elite guys got.

I agree.. because Garcia couldn't push that ball downfield at all. TO made most of his plays after the catch
