You've seen the movie? Cool tell me how it ends
Every biopic today follows the same formula.

Opening scene is a scene of one of his most iconic moments. Probably the Motown show.

Then it'll flash back to when he was a kid and rush through his childhood. During his childhood they are going to be on the nose (no pun intended) about all the things that shaped his career.
For example they might show him mimicking his future dance moves watching James Brown on TV. There's probably a scene where he's getting bullied by some kids and they yell at him to Beat It. Maybe he'll have a favorite action figure toy and he loses one glove and gets teased for it. At school he gets fascinated by a carnival/circus style ranch. Maybe there was a girl in school he liked named Billie Jean. Corny shiit like that.

Then it'll jump to Jackson 5 performances. We'll get ABC and I Want You Back for sure. We will see them recording classic songs and being a family. More on the nose story telling will show how he's destined for a solo career.

Then we jump to his solo career and he links with Quincy. This will be where the movie really gets into it. We get all the iconic shows, Thriller, Pepsi accident, etc... it'll just be a highlight tape at this point. We'll get those stupid moments where they found the "Magic" in the studio. Michael maybe accidentally records his "Ohhh" intro for Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough and Quincy is like "You know what?.....Let's keep that."

Also his personal life will get lightly touched. Court cases. They are barely going into the PDF stuff. We will see him battling vitiligo.

Then at the end it shows his death and we get a movie montage plus with real footage as a tribute. It'll show his influence of future artists. And then it'll jump back to the first scene it started with and then end.

And don't forget the possible narration and time stamps. Every scene will show the date and where it's taking place.

Not interested if they arent covering the "controversial" aspects of his life including the childhood abuse, plastic surgeries, lawsuits/court cases, beef with family, drug abuse, etc. Otherwise its gonna feel disingenuous

I want a 3hr Basquiat bio pic with at least 4 art making montages:hubie:

Broken down in 3 parts:
-Childhood: Depicts how his parents met and his family life.
-Teenage years: His juvenile hyjinxs and birth of SAMO with Al Diaz
-Young Adult: His skyrocket fame in art, his shows, international, dating Madonna, meeting Haring, Condo, Fab 5, Blondie Rammelzee, and his feuds with other artists

I want the film to be honest, and not Hollywood. Focus on race relations in NYC art scene, depict Warhol as a quasi closeted racist, show him meeting James Van Der Zee.

As for the art making montages, that will be the best part. The montages have to show everything: music, selection of books, him pulling info from books and then him actually making art.

Musical score should have Jazz galore, Jimi Hendrix, early 70s rap and 80s pop music.

I will write the screenplay if I have to.
