Barry Gordy gets more credit than he deserves for the Jackson 5's success, they were already polished PROFESSIONALS when Barry first viewed that audition tape.

Joe made shrewd business moves, it was JOE who got the Jacksons their variety tv show, it was JOE who negotiated a better deal with CBS (allowing the Jacksons publishing and producing points) and it was JOE who was the original mastermind behind the Victory tour

Michael took everything Joe did, mixed it with a little Barry Gordy, and took them Cacs to the CLEANERS. MJ used that soft voice shyt to fool people into thinking he was soft but he made some of the smartest business decisions ever seen in the industry.

I always told folks that MJ was smarter than he looked. People thought he was weak and soft but Jackson understood business is warfare and ownership is the key. I'm not too big on conspiracy theories but I definitely think there was foul play in regards to his death.
