I'm equally a fan of The Beatles and Michael Jackson. Agree with everything else though.

The Beatles were so prolific from just a song writing perspective that they deserve their GOAT status. They had so many hit songs you most likely would recognize one even if you didn't know it was the Beatles or were seeking it out. If not that one of your favorite artists covered their songs.

Beatles are dope as fukk though.

Them, MJ, Hendrix, Temptations, Earth, Wind Fire & a few others need to be on your play list if you consider yourself a true lover of music & a musician

To add on my previous post, like I said, there were so many The Beatles songs that were hits and everyone from that time covered their songs. They could just fart out songs that for any other group would have been their number 1 hit and would be their signature hit. All four of these dudes individually could have just made a killing alone writing songs for other artists. They all wrote individual songs for the group, even though Lennon and McCarthy were the majority song writers. They are legit the GOAT band.

and finally:mjlol:

I can appreciate the beatles because while they were inspired by black rock artists they made their own sound as well.

Alot of those british bands particularly the rolling stones who setlist was nothing but blues musix when they first started.

Beatles wrote their own shyt and weren't trying to imitate black blues guys like many others.
The Beatles spent the early part playing covers.

:mjpls::mjpls: so many "brehs" liking the beatles in here

I've never listed to their songs....only heard them played on whatever :mjpls::mjpls:
Real breh here and a big beatles fan. If you're a music fan, its hard not to. :yeshrug: Music is music. Looking at my spotify songs list and I got a Biggie album saved right after the Yellow Submarine album.

The crazy thing is if you see something about them on the TV or when they're talked about, the focus is mainly on their early stuff where little teen white girls were going crazy over them and they were doing their "beach boy" style music that is pretty dated to listen to these days and when I first heard about them, I always associated them with that sound. It wasn't until they stopped touring and past that period did they put out a more mature and actually some of their better music starting with the Revolver album and onwards. That music is timeless.

Elvis didn't right his own music unlike MJ and the Beatles who actually did.

Regardless of any and everything MJ is the GOAT hands down.
