I remember when Destiny's Child was a 30 second promo on a DJ Clue mixtape I 1997.

Her family and her team are straight up goons.

This bitxh mated with a camel to maintain supremacy.

Yeah...she's on top....but did she win? This bytch's soul is blacker than Alek Wek....and her closet is brimming with skeletons.

"Thriller" may be the most Universal Album in the History of Music. It came out at the right time in history in the Early 1980's. You talking people of different races all across the globe brought it it large numbers. Think of how much media the "Thriller" album has produced. Vinyl, CD, Cassette Album. 12'' Singles, Vinyl, Cassette, Album Singles. Music Video VHS, DVD Etc. Now Digital sales and a 40th Anniversary Album. You already know there will be a 50th Anniversary, than 75th and if the Planet is still here, 100th, lol. That's how Historical this record is. People who missed out on MJ will never understand how big this album was. Your talking "Bad" didn't drop until 5 years after "Thriller". That's how long he was able to ride that album. How you have 9 Songs, and they're all Classic. How you have 7 Singles and they're all Hit songs.

It should be way more than that. There's a lotta funny business going on with that. They don't want to give up the #1 spot (US sales) from the eagles, which also employed some funny business the other way.

At one point in 1983, Thriller sold 1 million copies per week for 7 weeks straight. Right out of Walter Yetnikoff's mouth.

Ngl, thought this album was over 40 million sold when I was a little kid.

Edit: Wikipedia says 70 million WW 34 million in the US. That was like 20% of the population in the US that had this album. I got 3 copies myself, a vintage vinyl, re-release picture vinyl and a 180 gram copy, all unopened.

Thriller 40 drops later this year with loads of (rumored) cuts from the sessions that didn't make it on a bonus disc.

Hopefully thats true and we don't get a load of wack ass modernized remixes.

It's crazy that "Baby Be Mine" and "Lady of My Life" weren't released as Singles. I felt like I heard "Baby Be Mine" a lot at parties and cookouts growing up. It was the jam. It was cool seeing DMX give the song it's flowers. X is one of the hardest rappers in History and MJ got him dancing and smiling, lol.

MJ vs Beyonce is always a weird comp.

At his peak, EVERYONE loved MJ. Dude had few if any haters. Beyonce has ALWAYS split people. Her voice is top notch if you ever hear her sing acapella but the music is hit or miss. She has iconic songs but not really whole albums.

So funky and still fresh:

Really dig it when an artist totally redoes a song and switches up the vibe. Retail was good but the OG is saturated in the OTW carefree aura. Probably why he rerecorded it but man, if sunshine had a theme tune this would be it.

I wish this version was on the album. That "rock me, rock me, rock me babe..." at the end :banderas::ohlawd:
