the real hiphop.
There is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more than that too :wow: Although you can hear his vocals in the background, can you imagine if Michael kept "Joy" for himself instead of giving it to Blackstreet? :damn: I remember hearing about the planned Run-DMC collabo. They (particularly DMC) been talkin' greasy about Mike for years wtf was their problem? :pacspit:

ETA: Found their article from Rolling Stone 1986. Starting to make some sense why their album sales dipped even after a major tour

How do you brehs think the original versions of the songs on this album compare to the bonus tracks that were on Bad25 last year? The songs were

Don't Be Messin Round
I'm So Blue
Abortion Papers
Free
Price Of Fame
Al Capone
Fly Away

Imagine if the above tracks and the Xscape original recordings were released as a single solo posthumous album

And @Whitty Hutton how was that Hot Street track not included on Thriller? :mindblown: :ohlawd:

  • In the 1993 deposition Michael is quoted as saying "Yes I like Hot Street, but Quincy Jones and Rod Temperton said it wasn't good enough"
Plus back then you were really limited by space constraints of vinyl as to how many songs you could put on an album. So something would have had to come off Thriller.
I would have taken off The Girl Is mine, but I can see why they didn't :yeshrug:

Great point...but man Hot Street is a standout track and more then deserving of a spot on Thriller :whew:

That woulda been dope but i think they should keep fly away and street walker were already realeased and Al capone was really just a promo for Smooth Criminal

don't know if theres a version of Michael singing this, it was the song pharrell sent MJ but he wanted more of the "superthug" and "knock yourself out" type sound the neptunes were bringing back then:

this was from r Kelly and its got that remember the time feel to it:
