I read something that said he was heavy into New Jack SwingSo wtf did MJ listen to? I hope RNB
The point was that alot of people from outside new york (and to an extent the northeast) didn't tend to rock with hip hop like that when it started. They preferred r&b & for most that didn't change in the 90s till now. They might like a song here and there but overall their opinion stayed the same. He was in his 30s in the 90s; music tends to be shaped by the youth (teenagers and folks in their early to 20s).By the time people are over 30 their opinions are set in stone. You expect a 30 year old to be bumping doggystyle in 93 breh? that's like a 30 year old listening to lil tjay today.nikka wasn’t 60 in the 90s..
Charles Barkley a 60 year old man from Alabama and his favorite rap group is Public EnemyHe's a 60 year old man from North Carolina. This isn't shocking.![]()
For that demographic Public Enemy was one of the few hiphop artist that got respect because they actually "talked about something".Charles Barkley a 60 year old man from Alabama and his favorite rap group is Public Enemy

He is an avid enjoyer of R&B, in fact
I only mentioned Chuck because knowing some of his views, who would expect him to be a big fan of PE?For that demographic Public Enemy was one of the few hiphop artist that got respect because they actually "talked about something".
