kobe's in his 17th year, is more accomplished and i think he'll probably end up having more rings than lebron. but that doesn't mean lebron isn't (or won't be) a better player than kobe ever was. word to bill russell.

nikkas really lack basic reading comprehension skills

Ahmad Rashad asked MJ whose had the better career so far. He said 5>1 to show that Kobe's had the better career. I don't think there is anything controversial about that. Most NBA players, commentators, experts, etc. would agree that at this point Kobe's got the better career. 5 titles are 5 titles. PERIOD.

So using that same logic Robert Horry has had a better career than Jordan.

Is rings all that matter? How about LeBron's 3 MVP's to Kobe's 1? 3 beats 1 every time I look at it. :yeshrug:

dudes forget he was out there dropping 50 like nothing even outscoring teams at end of 3 quarters and getting excited of 6 30+ games

some nikkas get hard-ons for PER or 50% shooting

me I could care less about these efficiency stats that got these Bron stans horny

they act like efficiency = better

I'll take Kobe scoring 43ppg for a month on 50% shooting over Bron scoring 30ppg on 70% shooting for 6 games. Some might think that because Bron is shooting a higher percentage that he could score more than Kobe if he shot more. Its idiots like that who we are arguing against. They don't realize that for Bron to score more he'd have to take more bad shots. The kind of shots Kobe was hitting when he dropped 81 that Bron chooses not to take right now so he can keep those shooting %s high.

Jordan gotta be a little salty about all the MJ vs Lebron debates, especially before Lebron even won a ring. And now that he is a champion, the talks can continue and have merit. It makes sense to pick Kobe over Lebron, Kobe's had a full career. Him picking Lebron over Kobe would just REALLY exacerbate the Lebron vs MJ debate.

So Kobe is better because he takes more bad shots??? :dead:

Instead of taking bad shots, Bron is hitting wide open teammates for 3's. :russ:

Yes, Kobe was doing those things, but not consistently. Kobe would drop 4 straight 35 point games, then drop two 20 point games on 7/21 shooting. Lebron never has off games, that's the difference between the two.

So let me get this straight. You are comparing titles that are won on the court to an award that is voted on by old white men in the media. :rudy:

If NBA players voted for MVP, Kobe woulda had about 5 right now. It ain't Kobe's fault the Media didn't wanna give him the award when he was dropping 35/5/5 and 32/6/5 in 06 and 07.

How can you even argue that Kobe doesn't have a better career at this point?

Rings aren't the only thing that matters. Same with MVP awards. Its a combination of things. Awards, accomplishment, stats, elite play, longevity that determines who had a better career.
