this is the most retarded, revisionist argument in NBA history.

Shaq has proven that with a serviceable guard, regardless of coach or conference, he can get you to the finals. 6 times in 11 years Shaq was in the finals, on 3 different teams.

Meanwhile Kobe was getting snuffed in the first round by a team that would let you score 100 points. When Kobe had the keys to the franchise, he couldn't do shyt without Phil, the Triangle and dominant front courts back when the NBA was all about bigs.

There are many, many reasons why Jordan is considered the goat, one of being his performance during key moments of games and series, coming through when it mattered, going 6-for-6 in NBA Finals appearances and just generally creating legendary moments: The Shot, The Flu Game, The Double Nickel, leaving the game and coming back and silencing everybody with ANOTHER three-peat. Overcoming the bullies of the East the Bad Boys, becoming the F I R S T internationally, worldwide, mainstream recognized face of basketball. Repping for the culture by going against the NBA and wearing his first Jordans even though he´d get fined. Lighting up the Blazers with 3s. Ending the strongest New York Knicks we´ve seen. Literally flying at the dunk contest from the free throw line (which is part of him always pushing the boundaries of the sport). Going from a suspect shooter and defender to a great shooter and lockdown defender...

Y'all Jordan stans kinda right. If lebron was on the spurs to be 8-0 the arguments would not be framed that way. At the same time ball is situational as hell. The monsters and the amount of hall of famers lebron has had to go through is unreal. Also, the league is more skilled, no more goofy big men that get by on being big. Jordan also never had to go through essentially the equivalent of magic (maybe isaiah), Clyde Drexeler, bird, some great defensive PF (which I guess would be like the warriors of that time)
