What was the father-boyfriend introduction like?
Honestly, I was more nervous than Rakeem. I don't introduce many people to my father, so once Rakeem actually met him, it was a bit hysterical, because they were both nervous, and just awkwardly sitting there not knowing what to ask, which made me step in and break the ice. Nowadays they're almost like best friends and it's kind of gross, but I'm happy that it was smooth sailing, and it's been great ever since.

He met my mother well before we even started dating, back when she would come visit me at Syracuse, and they're just as close as him and my father, and probably text every week.

who is this nikka you brought to my house?

Why should he? Private schools give a better schooling experience than public ones. Plus, you get the chance to make connections with people from better backgrounds.

This should be a knock on him imo. If I was rich, I'd send my kids to the best private school that money could buy just to increase the chance that they can further increase the family's wealth.

Edit: If I'm wrong, please tell me. I'd like to hear the perspective of someone who's better educated on the matter.
To get a more well rounded experience. Seems like Mike didn’t want to shelter them.

Thank you for not disappointing and adding a picture of her OP :blessed:

and damn at the amount of winning for Rakeem Christmas in that interview. Befriend Jordan’s daughter. Live the life of a single div 1 athlete for a few years. Get feelings for Jordan’s daughter when you’re ready to slow down. Wife and have a kid with and she’s seemingly super cool and cute and a literal heiress. Become close friends with MJ in the process.

the man deserves some sort of life medal.

His name is Christmas....living that life everyday :russ:

Why are we supposed to applaud sending your kids to public school? If you got good public schools around you, you’d be an idiot not to send your kid to it.

MJ sending his kids to public school makes sense.

They seem pretty well adjusted considering the advantages they've had in life.

Not surprised by Marcus...always thought he was the most like MJ behind the scenes.

Above the fray.

Michael Jordan and his wife moved in some of the highest social circles in that state, and in the country. Possibly every country club, social organization, club, etc was open to MJ and his children. They lived and went to school for most of their lives in one of the RICHEST zip codes in that state.

His daughter going to public high school for junior/senior year didn't erase her previous contacts and connections
