Load management babble in 2025. :dead:

Defending is far more taxing on the body compared to 30/40/50 years ago.

And the poster children of load management in Kawhi and Embiid actually need it because of the chronic and career-threating issues with their knees.
Yeah idk why people call Kawhi lazy the nikka literally has degenerative quads, load management is the only way he can hold up until the playoffs

Defending? We are literally at the apex of the scoring. This season is on pace to be the highest scoring of all time. The last decade has got to rank highest ever, these guys ain’t out here playing hard defense :dead: these ain’t fukking ymca players, these are elite athletes. They should be able to run around for 30 minutes a night

They are playing defense. But you aren’t interested in actually learning and discussing it.

Most of these pitchers can't even make it through 6 innings the majority of starts.
:scust:
Yes they can. If you've been watching this World Series, you'd see that these starters can go long if needed.

Starters not going past 6 has more to do with coaching/management. They're following the analytics, which basically state that pitchers become less effective the more hitters see them. So by the 3rd time around, they're already adjusted/locked in. Plus you got teams that want to preserve their players throughout the season. If they're a playoff team, they wanna make sure their starters don't have arm fatigue by the end of the season when they playoffs start. And if they're a bad team, they see no point in continously trotting our their top pitchers and risk having them get seriously injured. Which is why a team like the Pirates purposely scaled back Paul Skenes innings late in the season.

So just like with basketball's load management, this is a team thing not a players thing

MJ didn't care about no one. He's a psychopath and a fukkin degenerate gambler with an obsessive compulsive personality. Load management wasn't a thing in his era. If he entered the league now he would do the same thing. It's just a stupid take honestly. Obviously it's taking away from the game if you load management you don't have to be a fukkin scientist to tell anyone that.

@Oldschooler Michael Jordan cared about Kobe Bryant. Listen to his speech he gave at Kobe Bryant's funeral.

When my goat speaks, I listen.

No one is built like Mike anymore. He actually cared about the fans who paid hard earned money to come watch him play. Today’s players do not give a damn about the father who had to bust his ass for a ticket to take his son to the game.

Paying $500 for tickets only for the guy you came to see to not play is crazy work :pachaha:

Buying $500 tickets and not taking 10 seconds to google the starting lineup on your phone is even crazier.

It's rare that a player will sit out a game at the last second.
99% of the time fans are well aware if a guy's status is in flux due to injury or rest.

And no matter what you choose to spend your money on, these players don't owe you anything but effort.
If today happens to be their rest day, so be it.

That's for some instances, but if you live in Charlotte and the Lakers are your favorite team, you get 1 opportunity a year to see them in person. Then a lot of times the longer you wait, the more expensive the tickets will be.
