I knew the WNBA was doomed when I was watching a game as a kid (yea yea I know) and my feminist mom walked in and watched a minute or two. She then turned to me and said "can they dunk?" This was before the Lisa Leslie dunk. I said "no" and she was like "wow they look like little kids trying to play basketball" and walked out disgusted.
