The fact that I even heard he was a cowboy speaks volume. I'm a Pats fan in Boston, I have no idea what other players the Cowboys have picked up to their PS, but I heard they picked up then dropped Sam.
And now they're being accused (either explicitly or implicitly) of dropping him cuz he's gay. Who wants to be questioned about practice squad transactions (outside of beat writers)? You think the next team won't be reluctant to give him a shot knowing that they may be accused of being homophobes if they decide he is not a good fit? The logical fallacy in all this is the fact that they picked him up knowing he was gay in the first place!
