According to ESPN.com, Sam didn't tell the Rams about the documentary and at least one St. Louis player believes the documentary could end up being a distraction.

The thing is though breh, the fact he came out before the draft, the fact he was tongue kissing his boyfriend for the cameras( I don't remember any of the straight couples doing this), the fact he initially authorized an oprah documentary then cancelled when people were talking about it being a distraction and guess what it already was one even before it came out...makes it look like he does indeed want to be known as the gay football player and wants that attention. You guys can argue over the semantics of the word phony, but he seems like he wants the attention, and if he didn't want to be known as the "gay football player" he wouldn't have done all of that. He wouldn't have even come out in the first place.

Sounds like it got postponed because they probably weren't gonna get the access they needed from the NFL to show the doc. Glad to see this get postponed or possibly shut down completely, Sam's story is only gonna be relevant if he MAKES the team and is a contributor to the Rams and he's a longshot to do that
