Columbia was not hard to get in, in the early 80s, they had something like a 25% acceptance rate.
Her level of "bum," as one of the few Black women at an Ivy League school, and then Ivy League law school, in the 80s, is radically different from the "bum" of your average Coli poster, who likely never finished college.
