I'm really not though :francis:

But this thread has been very educational though. Just differences in culture, not saying one is better than the other, but they are differences.

I think I just gotta come to terms that I'm just really oldschool and really traditional. As long as my girl is cool with that, everybody else can cook :wow:

Most intelligent people know she was joking and don't take her seriously. I'm sure Russia isn't thinking "Did you hear Michelle call Obama a bum on The Real? Now is the ideal time to conquer all the former soviet blocs!" :francis:

Damn, imagine how fragile our system is when international affairs can be swayed by the wife of a president jokingly busting her husband balls like millions of other couples do around the world on a daily basis.
Aye Im done with this thread :laff:

Like I said, we just come from 2 different cultural perspectives :yeshrug:.

Reminds me of the bugatti biceps roast thread. Some people were acting like it was the worst thing in the world to get roasted by some brehs.:why:

And the rest of us who grew up getting roasted and roasting back just laughed and said "stop being sensitive :russ:"

That's pretty much what's happening here, in reverse. Most people who are like "its not a big deal" are probably used to this and it happens all the time.

The more you know :ohhh:

What You Will Never Be.
Never disrespect your significant other even if your trying to make a point. Hope Barack gave he the talk when she got home

Mike's the man in that relationship, though.

But hey, ol' Barry was a bum and look at him now, there's hope for you Coli skim milk-ass nikkas...well, there would be if y'all got off this muthafukka.

She wasn't disrespectful, airing him out, clowning him, exposing him or anything. Have whatever preference you want but that has nothing to do with this and neither did your examples.

Good day.

That's your take, which you're welcome to have. And as evidenced by this thread, not everybody agrees with you. :yeshrug:

:mjlol: and this thread is sensitive and insecure as hell.

Its possible that some brehs are coming from a point of sensitivity
Its possible that some brehs are coming from a place of insecurity

Its also possible that some are putting themselves in those shoes or imagining their mother saying this and are like... nah can't see it.

I'm the latter, but I'm sure all 3 are represented throughout the thread.... so i guess you're right :yeshrug:

I love the cyclical nature of The Coli lol.

I see both sides. I would caution harsh judgement of Mrs. Obama, however, because we simply do not know the nature of the Obama's relationship. Not to mention the fact that Obama, himself, has described his high school days in disparaging terms. What I find more questionable, however, is the elitism that permeates Mrs. Obama's comments.

While Mrs. Obama might try to portray herself as a "common person" the reality of her life is far from that. She went to Princeton for undergrad, Harvard Law school and has a brother who currently coaches a division 1 basketball program. Even though she didn't mean to, Mrs. Obama let out a little bit of the elitism that surely permeates her every day life. In my opinion, the most controversial aspect of what she said isn't that she called Barack a "bum" but rather that her standards of "bumness" inevitably lead to her having to call the mass majority of African-American males "bums". If she thinks that Barack was a bum in high school, even though he ended up getting a scholarship to go to Occidental college, what do you think she thinks about the average African-American male? I mean look at this graph, keep in mind that Obama went to college is 1979...

damn..... I would hate to have your attitude, you seem more concerned with what people think of you than you being yourself.......

you dont have a clue.... If Obama cured cancer and AIDS his critics would still portray him in a negative light...

continue to live your life for others...

Your moronic, yet comical "public service announcement" plainly emphasizes the sheer stupidity you possess. Michelle Obama's historic, esteemed position as the only African American First Lady require that she presents herself consistently with the proper decorum. Not only was Mrs Obama's comment inappropriate, it was tasteless as well & is certainly not befitting that of a mindful, highly educated First Lady of the United States.

And just because the Obama's detractors continually depict or characterize them "in a negative light" regardless the circumstance, still doesn't mean it was very wise for Michelle Obama to add more "fuel to the fire" with her reckless statement.
