First off, the rumored Green Lantern role that the TMZ camera man was referring to was for the actual, Hispanic Green Lantern, Jessica Cruz:
Second, it's certainly not up to minority actors whether they get roles in these films or not. They go through a selection process and get chosen so what, exactly, is being "stolen"? Not to mention that when diversity is introduced in the background of super heroes it's usually a decision made by the writers themselves, so, again, how are minorities "stealing" anything?
And, really, how is having the gender/race of a character different from that in the source material tantamount to "stealing" the character? When Helen Mirren played Prospera in The Tempest was she stealing from Shakespeare?
