In a very recent interview, Michelle Rodriguez sang her praises for Lee Daniels' latest film, The Paperboy, which she saw at the Cannes Film Festival.

Though the film has received mainly negative reviews, calling everything from "outrageous," to "uintentionally funny" and "campy," the film does have its defenders, including, evidently, Ms. Rodriguez.

She was very impressed with Nicole Kidman's performance in the film as a wacko, white trash slut, but she feels that Kidman has no chance of winning an Oscar, or even just be nominated for one, because... well read it for yourself:

Why are so many Puerto Ricans and Dominicans deluded into thinking they're predominantly Taino?

They actually have it in their ID. There are three options, blanco, negro and Indio. Everybody who isn't white is considered indio. I have yet to meet a dominican that has an ID which identifies him as black.

No offense to Puerto RIcans or Dominicans. And not trying to come off as racist, but I find it that islander Hispanics look to their so called "Taino" ancestry as superior, while their African one as inferior.

I find it funny because the Taino people:

1. Did not progress passed the stone age technology.
2. Their culture was largely primitive and they were mostly nude.
3. They had no architecture.
4. They were immediately wiped out by European settlers directly or indirectly.

Meanwhile Africans back on the continent.

1. Actually not only progressed passed the stone age, but entered the iron age independently.
2. They actually have architecture.
3. Their culture was more organized and complex compared to Taino culture.
4. They were not wiped out by Europeans, but continued on.
5. Some areas actually had written languages.
6. Lets not forget that Islander Hispanics culture especially Dominicans and Cubans are largely African influenced.

Mind you Dominicans mostly descend from people from Angola, who had civilizations such as this:

So please explain to me how Taino ancestry is more superior to the African one? When the African one played a larger influence in developing their culture!
