So he's mad that today's wrestler doesn't have to be a "glorified stuntman" and get themselves bloodied up in order to keep butts in the seats? :comeon:

He's mad the product is bad enough nobody is tuning in. They have fewer than half the viewers they did during his time

Why would they change anything about the product? They have no competition to force them to change anything

The ratings are reaching record lows. We've looked at the downward trend in the Raw ratings thread. In about a year they've lost a million viewers.

They're not gonna get rid of the 3 hr format, they'd lose a lot of money doing so. But if they dont change something soon and the ratings keep going down its gonna be hard for USA to keep justifying paying them for 3 hours.

The other problem is Smackdown coming to USA while ratings are tanking (Smackdown moving is a good thing btw) but this is gonna put Smackdown on the back burner AGAIN because their focus is gonna be getting Raw back to 3.0

no competition. Vince is thinking the audience will simply adjust and as the older fans give up, the new fans will accept the product as is bc they have no memories to compare it to. Feed them junk food and its OK bc they never had steak
Yes that is how they are trying to program their fans into thinking this is the best shyt ever........................................ but there is this one small problem with that.......................................... They then turn around and tell you to buy the network so you can watch us glorify the time when they were serving porter house steak on a weekly basis. They have the entire attitude era on ther tho watch all the shows from the 80's and countless specials about or including the legends that cooked that steak.. So how are the new fans going to ignore all that? It's really like they are just teasing us by saying look how good we used to be, too bad we don't give a fukk no more cause we made our money and there is nobody around to run us out of business..

All true, but even going back to watch the old stuff, if you weren't alive during that era it does lose a little luster and quite frankly you won't even understand some of it.

Plus, I think they know there's a very, very SMALL % of younger fans who will be watching 1991 Starrcade or '88 NWA wrestling episodes. Maybe not even alot of them will really sit back and watch the Attitude era either

Mick backtracking yet again :francis:

its not backtracking, the show was better this week, its called having an objective opinion, I know that's a foreign concept on here but how could you be mad at the show Monday?

I get that but will it kill the to use that extra hour to do something interesting? like include the preshow and post show into one of those hours. Like 8-8:30 could be the preshow where they can do most of the interviews to set up the storylines for the show but in the preshow format with Renee young and them don't introduce the main commentating team until 8:30. , then 10:30-11:05 can be the post show with reactions from the events that happened and all the annoying recaps and replays.. That way you can have just 2 hours to book and have matches and cut down on some of these forced promos all while keeping that extra hour, instead of a 20 minute preshow 3 hour show and idk if they still try with the post show but they need to let it go, but it makes sense to do them after a ppv..

I don't watch that shyt either but they do center a lot of their documentaries around that era, that could be a gateway for a 12-17 year old to go back and see what all the hype was about.. and lets be real do we even know the average age of the audience? cause I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the people who bought the network are over 21, I know my friends that don't watch anymore outside of mania has the network anyway

oh I'm sure most ppl with the Network month to month fall into the over 21 bracket. We're the ones with the money....and that's why they keep upping old content.

The majority of kids prob only can get their parents to order it every few months or so.

Didn't watch because of the garbage that was Survivor Series.
