Dude is one of the nicest "new-ish" artists.

But he needs better management like a MF! All of these dope ass projects he's been dropping for years, and they ain't getting no motion because his team is lacking on the business side. More people need to know about the bro.
He's been in his bag. Not sure what his deal situation was before, but I believe he's independent now and he's been doing direct to consumer selling for his recent projects.

All the independent Chicago guys that came up together (Chance, Vic and Mick) seem to be doing great business on the music side now... He's also touring with JID which will raise his profile even more.

It's truly only a matter of time before he gets that one look or feature where he spazzes and the casuals start paying attention

Yeah, he said he was between managers and paying out of pocket for his vinyl and all that.

But he also pulled his recent sh*t off of Spotify and refused to put any of the new sh*t on DSP's. So there was a lot of back and forth between him and his fans because they said they didn't have have access to his new music. He wanted people to blindly buy vinyl at high prices, but the people never heard any of the records before, so they wanted previews. He told them that if they really supported him, they would pay without hearing anything first.

I think he needs to get an actual team around him that can get him the exposure, but also work on building a better relationship with his following. Make the music accessible, but also donโ€™t curse your own fans out for trying to support your sh*t. LOL!! They just wanna hear the music.

You talking about there Type shyt project?

I would have copped but I honestly didn't feel like downloading a new app for 1 project.

:skip:

Then he ended up dropping videos for most of the songs on YouTube and I have YouTube Music so I just added them to my library

:yeshrug:

The new album will be on DSPs a week after the direct to consumer option which makes sense. It's also how Chance rolled his latest album out so maybe he's leveraging that relationship to get more traction for his music while still allowing his hardcore fans to support him directly.
