I was just listening to NPR

Trump put this guy in charge of the agency?

Disgusting

All the rednecks who voted for this are absolute clowns. Like turkeys voting for Christmas

all of the cabinets are chaired by people whose life mission has been to deregulate or outright destroy the agencies they're in charge of and enrich themselves and or benefactors

it makes me sick

He's in the pocket of Payday loans..they've given him money in the past..so he reciprocates by dropping lawsuits against them

The federal consumer watchdog has dropped a lawsuit against a lender that allegedly charged people up to 950 percent interest rates.

It's part of a move away from aggressive enforcement under interim director Mick Mulvaney that has angered career staff, NPR reported.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau confirmed to CNBC on Monday that it scrapped the suit against Golden Valley Lending in January. Mulvaney, who also heads the administration's Office of Management and Budget, was appointed by President Donald Trump to lead the CFPB after Democrat Richard Cordray resigned.

Mulvaney — a harsh critic of the CFPB while serving in Congress — decided to scrap the legal action even though career officials wanted to move ahead with it, several CFPB staff members told NPR.

And they say Africa/Asia/L America are corrupt. No principles..no thought as to the greater good. He's happy to see the most desperate members of society get raped by legal loansharks.

“This is higher than mafia loan sharks,” Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., said of Golden Valley's rate. He called the decision to drop the lawsuit against Golden Valley “outrageous” and “anti-consumer.”

problem is black people are disproportionately hurt by things like this.

I hear that. But all the rednecks get hit by this but they don't care cos of their 'cism.

One of the ppl profiled in the NPR report discussing this borrowed $900 which she paid back on time. But they kept taking out money..turns out she's on the hook for $3000+ as stipulated in the fine print.

When she was told the CFPB was dropping the lawsuit...she was like "I'm so angry. I voted for Trump :mjcry:"
