Oddly enough chrome OS /chromebook is the most secure laptop out.

And windows 7 will sneak in updates to read files as well.

But seriously... you have to figure that windows has been spying on you since at least Vista. And you have to figure Windows has backdoors in it for the alphabets since atleast 95/98. Unless you're some vip, you don't have to worry too much....

They don't collect the HD info. HD is fully encrypted & OS verifies authenticity of OS in case someone sets you up.

Chromebook is pretty safe for file storage.

not to mention none of these guys are in super secret organizations or anything... they log your shopping information, viewing information, these are all things we should already know are logged in some way shape or form....
