Well I know that you have clearly not been streaming shyt since that article is from 2014 and Sony discontinued its app support on Samsung & Android TV back in 2017:skip:

Sony's PlayStation Now cloud gaming service will stop working on Samsung's smart TVs in six months - SamMobile - SamMobile

I streamed PSNow on my PS4 and on PC back when quarantine first started and it had lower resolution and spotty performance compared to Stadia in the same environment. It's serviceable but its obvious that Sony isn't putting in the most effort/investment into it:yeshrug:

I don't have a PC or android device so I haven't been able to try xCloud yet so I can't speak on it:hubie: But definitely will once it's available on Mac/iOS

I'm honestly shocked that Sony hasn't pushed the cloud shyt more since they were the first to really invest in it with that Gakai acquisition way back when. Google and MS already caught up in terms of technology and Gamepass will likely end up taking most of the market share
for game streaming over time

Point being it's not "new" per se. I tried PS Now on PS Vita, TV, PS4, PS5, Android and it works.

Stadia had 1080P while PS Now just got 1080P recently.

Stadia's had 4K since launch with the Pro subscription and is way less spotty from what I experienced with my time with PSNow. Honestly for as much as we like to joke about them the tech itself delivers what's promised. I've actually been playing Resident Evil 7 and Cyberpunk on Stadia lately with a Mac directly connected to my modem and it feels like I'm just playing my Series X. If Microsoft can match that performance quality along with GamePass' library that's HUGE. especially with the streaming sticks

The last time I tried Xcloud was I think a couple of months ago when Outriders or w/e released. I tried it on my PC through the web browser and it was pretty bad imo. Very noticeable input lag and the quality was bad. Xcloud on Ipad though was really good.

Playstation has had PS NOW built into to tv's for years...

Please catch up

They ran that on select Samsung and android TV's from 2014-2017 and have since stopped supporting it. Wasn't nobody using that shyt and we all know it:unimpressed:

PSNow only has 3 million subscribers compared to Gamepass 20 million plus...the impact will be felt much differently here

Sony made it a hot line, GamePass bout to make it a hot song:manny:

If they get a built in app for LG OLED and I had fiber internet, it would be nice to cop a gamepass sub and eat

I liked all the TV integration they talked about when the original Xbone launched. I like the vision they have for cloud services, Azure showed them the way. Satya Nadella seems like he's really on board with Xbox plans too
