I've been getting through my corporate career at a bank without having any knowledge of these two programs. I had to use these two for classes in undergrad but I BS'd through them and somehow managed to pass without learning or retaining ish (I regret it now). Now thinking about trying to learn these two beast have me like :damn:

So I come to you brehs....How easy or hard would it be for me to learn these two. Can I take a dedicated week to them and become decent enough a task if given to me ???

Any websites or tutorials you suggest..I currently have the 2013 office program.

Access is a bytch:noah:

Check your local neighborhood and they might have free excel workshops. I'll post some excel youtube links when I get home. Excel isn't that hard but you forget it if there isn't enough repetitions. Could probably teach yourself in a week.

Do you need a fuller understanding of how relational databases work, or just how to use MS Access specifically, IE. where to find stuff in the menus and whatnot?

for excel get

51KfB%2BQyfAL.jpg

and when you're done with the above two and feel like you want to get to the next level of productivity in excel, get
51C8L8nf0dL.jpg

if you use a different version of excel than the books above there are versions of the books for different.

for access it depends on want you want to do with it but i suspect simple data retrieval in excel. access itself is mostly a simply point and click interface with sql and on the back which you can control with VBA like excel. if you just want to pull data from access into excel then the first book have a chapter on data retrieval which should get you started.
