. Even threw in a half assed flight plan when I got into the air. DA-40 is one of those planes you have to manage while in flight. Fuel feeds from the left tank, so you have to periodically flip the switch to transfer from the right tank... just don't forget that you flipped that switch. Took it up to 12500 this time - easy with 50% fuel, a struggle when you're heavier than that. I'm a handful of flights away from getting into the DA-62 and eventually back into the CJ4 when I map my throttle properly.
I know the left analog stick on the controller toggles auto pilot and allows you to access that top bar. If you want it gone completely I'm assuming it's somewhere in the options?Got in a night flight today. Second version of the DA-40 has a glass cockpit. Game changer when I set that altitude and heading hold. Even threw in a half assed flight plan when I got into the air. DA-40 is one of those planes you have to manage while in flight. Also if anyone knows how to consistently get rid of that goddamn top bar, please let me know. Damn thing has a mind of its own and it really fukks up some good shots.

People have complained about it in the MSFS Forums, apparently a bug introduced in Sim Update 5 where it doesn't auto hide properly, or at least consistently. I did read something about moving the mouse to the bottom right of the screen and it'll fade, so I'll try that tomorrow.I know the left analog stick on the controller toggles auto pilot and allows you to access that top bar. So my uncle was having issues with his rudders working in reverse of default. He brought his sticks over, I fixed it on my console and saved everything and he says when he got home they was reversed again. I even named the load out under hotas controls.
getting everything to work properly on the hotas has been an issue. I still can't get the landing gear to work with the assigned button. Only if I assign a different button.
Anyone else having that issue and how did you fix it???
Game on PC when the Series X exists brehsI can't even play this shyt because it just keeps saying insert disc when I start it up(Gamepass PC).
It worked once and never again. I tried every fix I saw online nothing worked.

Alright I'm putting together a world tour and plan to hit most major Coli™ favorites. shyt gets left out because I just forgot about it. I'm going to throw up all the planning materials I use to make this happen. Starting with a rough cut of the flight plan (just airports). I'll get more into it with proper routes as I go along. Google Drive Folder: Harlem to Bolivia – Google Drive
It started off as a trim from Harlem to Bolivia, as many dudes do as well, but then I said fukk it, let's go around this flat earth.
A lot of planning for each hop. Clearly going to have to figure out airliners before I start ocean hopping. About 45 locations to hit, 30 thousand nautical miles, and and estimated 274 hours continuous flying (11 days)
- We start off in Harlem - well, New York at KLGA
- We pop up north to laugh at them Canadian goofies in Toronto at CYYZ
- Fly through Chicago but not for too long

- All the way cross the ocean to Nigeria
DNMM

. Sky Vector talmbout 4-7 hours, but that can't be right, right
? At any rate, the .PLN can be loaded into the game if you really want to fly the path. So far the flight plans have been generated with the DA62 in mind but if it's going to be like this, I might have to get into something much quicker.
. That might be a tomorrow thing.
. Flight plan called for RW 04, opposite of where I wanted to start off pointing. So IF you follow the flight plan, take off RW 22 to the southwest. Get in the air, gear up, flaps up, AP on, toggle NAV, off and running
. It was some real pilot shyt if I do say so myself. On the climb up to 8000 feet I snapped some pictures, saw a nice sunset. By the time I got to the leg that turned northwest it was nighttime. At 172NM it's the longest leg, estimated 58 minutes to complete. So I settle in for a while.
. So I'm looking around and shyt tryna figure out what's what all the while the stall speed warning is going off. I cut the AP and it immediately goes left wing down, so I have my yoke cocked to the right like 30 degrees just to keep level. One hand on the yoke, other hand on the mouse trying to find the nearest airport on the GPS to touch down at. By this time it's pitch fukking black and I the first nearest airport, I can't even see the runway lights. I cycle to the next and it's a white dot 30 some odd miles in the distance. Through this whole ordeal I've lost about 4000 feet in altitude and I'm still cocked sideways like somebody's eye. I draw nearer and nearer to this airport, or what I think is it, and visually the shyt ain't matching up with what the GPS looked like. Closer and closer, about 2000 feet off the ground, 5 miles out and I finally get the radio to tune to their tower. I have a runway in sight and these MFs are like nah, use the other runway. I cross over the airport, get landing clearance, make my final turn on the verge of stall, and finally touch down
.
