shyt I read the article and there are other articles out there that are bringing up this point. Microsoft's hardware sales are not looking great. Case in point. Microsoft says they doubled Xbox sales last month. We don't know if that is Xbox360 or Xbox One or Combined sales. Even if they doubled the sales, PS4 still outsold them. Which is hard to believe even after a price drop. PS4 is lacking games right now...but so is Xbox One. What has came out during this summer drought for anyone...lol

But next week I will be on "The Last of US"....I never played it before.

Companies combine sales like this all the time. Sony did it last gen with PS2 and PS3 numbers. Point is investors are satisfied and the stock is up. This article is just baseless assumptions for clicks

I'm surprised they even sold that many Xbox Ones. they really haven't fully committed to it yet, they still making 360 versions and 360 only versions of game, and the Xbox One is still truly lacking that 1 key must have game only sold on the One to help bring everyone over.

Me personally, I'm an 360 gamer, and yes I plan on getting a One, but i just dont feel the rush so far, like I dont feel like I'm truly missing anything major yet. When i see a line up of One games only that i truly want to play thats when I'll prolly make the change, and thus far, this hasnt happened.

His number is based off an assumption he's making that's just wrong. Xbox 1 has sold over 300k units in the last two months in the U.S. alone. The Xbox unit as a whole is up 14% over last year.

Xbox One sales figures missing in Microsoft’s latest financials

According to figures noted in the Computing and Gaming Hardware sector, formerly known as the Devices and Consumer Hardware segment, revenue increased $274 million or 23%, due to “higher Surface and Xbox Platform revenue.”

Gross margin increased $665 million year-over-year with Surface revenue of $409 million reported.

Xbox Platform revenue increased $104 million or 14% due to increased console revenue thanks to 1.1 million consoles sold in Q4.

The firm noted it “drew down channel inventory,” compared to 1.0 million consoles during the prior year.

So it says what they shipped but not sold


Also this is xbox platform not Xbox one so they including xbox360,xbox,and Xbox one (and probably xbox controllers too to help) boost numbers in this whole "14% increase" and "shipped" numbers

I've followed his videos for a long time, and its not just with this latest video. He's gone from a rational voice in the outrage to whipping up the outrage himself.

As for this Forbes article. It's written by a blogger, not a financial analyst, not even an insider that would have access to any numbers we don't. He read the same statements from Microsoft that we did and just added his own spin.

To show how stupid that Forbes site is they are simultaneously running an article about how Xbox sales and Microsoft stock is up. So how can it be both? Microsoft/Xbox thriving and failing at the same time?
