Double
Well for Microsoft everything will be in house chips for the tablet console is impressive no other company does that. There next consoles will be cheap as hell
Microsoft owns ARM i believe, Sony goes back to IBM
Like I said. I would benefit Microsoft. But it wouldnt stop Sony from using AMD. Same way Microsoft is using Blu Ray. Fam Sony was just using LG's panels in their last batch of high end 1080p and low end 4KTVs. And LG is a rival. A rival that doesnt sell as much high end TVs as Sony or Samsung I might add.Well for Microsoft everything will be in house chips for the tablet console is impressive no other company does that. Dude this is totally different. You comparing cheap ass drives to Chips lol. AMD chips which contain licensing for games especially if Sony ever wants to do backward compatibility they are assed out.And Sony gets a cut of bluray money being part of the bluray consortium. It's not that serious. MS is still not a hardware company. It's software and services now.

Yea. Its still their technology tho. Also. The example I gave about the TV panels its the exact same thing. Like I said. ALOT of rival companies use eachothers parts. Dont let the rivalries fool u. Its all business at the end of the day.Its not really the same considering Sony doesnt "own" blu-ray and they aren't manufacturing the drives for Microsoft.
Not saying that Sony would change, but its a bit different then those examples you gave. This would literally be Microsoft manufacturing hardware for Sony.
nikka the literal TV screens in Sony's high end TVs last year came directly from a competitor. U arguing semantics and missing the entire point. Period.Dude this is totally different. Totally different you comparing minor parts to actually chips which make the system work. Sony would be paying Microsoft 100 dollars a system sold with AMD because of the AMD chips and Sony is Microsoft competitor. This is not good business wise for Sony and don't be surprised to see PS5 sooner.
On the High end market. Nah. Its Sony and Samsung all day for the most part. LG is the 3rd choice. Overall LG has alot of consumer average tvs so they sell alot of tvs in the low sizes..barbones and wholesale models n shyt like that. And Bluray is Sony's tech.LG doesn't sell as much tvs as Sony? And I thought LG owned bluray?

Duke u arguing semantics. Lol. No matter how u slice it. It benefits Microsoft. But it shouldnt hurt Sony too much. They have other options. They sell a monitor piece that shyt is nothing compared to a damn gaming chip with licensing fees and per system purchase. There is a set supply of screens created as systems are supply and demand. TVs are not selling 21 million in a year just not.

I mean in this life cycle. Deal already done. So what they pay is what they pay. The money going to Microsoft is neither here nor there. I mean its good for Microsoft. But it doesnt change anything for the Xbox One. The effect would have to be seen next gen. Same with Sony.I think we going in circles. Sony doesn't have an option unless they come out PS5. PS4 has AMD chips and they would be paying Microsoft 100 dollar a console sold. They can't switch chips as games will no longer work and they will have to wait for next gen lifecycle.
