They might just go back and make their own shyt. They are a hardware manufacturer after all. They made their own chips for the first 3 playstations.

I doubt they go back to Nvidia who has fukked over Nintendo (Gamecube), Microsoft (OG Xbox), and Sony already (Ps3 GPU).

Yea. Its still their technology tho. Also. The example I gave about the TV panels its the exact same thing. Like I said. ALOT of rival companies use eachothers parts. Dont let the rivalries fool u. Its all business at the end of the day.

Also just because a company is owned by somebody.. doesnt mean they control them ... alot of company still operate independently from the parent..

SInce AMD makes CPUs it cant be directly Microsoft because it might trigger anti trusts laws... similiar to back in the days when microsoft tried that with IE..
AMD would have to remain independent so it can sell chips to DELL, HP, etc... Microsoft doesnt need to cross the use AMD or else we change extra for Windows route ... they been there and lost...

I see intel has a potential case here if its not separate ... Microsoft would own AMD and ATI .. that means they own the main hardware (cpu and gpu) and then the O/S... the potential to strong arm the competition is there

Microsoft's work on Xenos in the 360 is godly. That card was better than top of the line PC cards at the time of release in 2005. I have full faith in Microsoft if they were to acquire AMD. Hell, I want them to now since I revisited this information about Xenos.

They manufactured it, yes. Microsoft used ATI technologies to get exactly what they wanted. As far as graphics card for its time in a console, it's by far the best ever. ATi was bought by AMD, could revisit some of this and have BC for all consoles going forward, going back to the 360 since Microsoft would own all of the libraries. That was why they couldn't with Nvidia since they were charging too damn much.
