This is the first generation in my life that I've seen a console get more expensive as time goes on. Trump is so fukking ass at his job.
The advances in technology and the shrinking of chip dies isn't what it once was which is why the cost of the systems don't go down like they used to back in the day. In the PS2 days shrinking the die got them savings they passed on to customers. If they could have reduced the cost to make systems maybe this wouldn't have happened.

This doesn't bode well for their "next gen" console. Rumors are they're moving towards a PC style "console" while Sony's rumored to be going for a cost effective hybrid option. Who is going to seriously considering buying an Xbox at these prices over a PS5?

But it very well could be that they were like nahhhhh we aren't taking the hit on increased cost on hardware that we already losing money on and selling at a loss and someone was like we might as well double down on what Nintendo is doing, and tell em that too. It's hard to be mad at it when you have a cheaper option to play said games if you want them.
