Xbox games shutting down left and right :mjlol:

Project had a Spark shut down and now this?

What's next? Halo?
Don't forget lionhead

And don't forget the studio that was going to make phantom dust that had been an active company for years and years then had to shut their doors because Microsoft changed their minds.

It has insanity on there with Kinect tracking your movements, heart rate. Corrects your posture, compares what you do to your friends and the community. It's not some bullshyt app that failed to deliver. I don't believe this decision is final imo...

:mjlol: Remember when the Xthots acted like this was gonna be a big deal.

Present...

They did it wrong.
I knew they were going to try and make bread off of this. but i didnt think they would go the route they went.

what xbox fitness TRIED/ATTEMPTED To do was basically sale streaming WORKOUT DVD's online with a hint of a personal traininer experience since the kinect could check to see if you were doing it right. which is a huge step up from an ordinary workout video without TRYING to do the moves but never knowing if you're doing them right without no feedback from a pro.

The problem with doing that, was that you need every fitness chick and dude who are into the dvd fitness thing to buy an xbox and use this service. which would be cheaper than buying the videos(dont bring up bootlegging them.). But they never even tried to market it to anyone outside of regular xbox joes and janes. so it was never sustainable.

The funny thing is as good as the kinect 2.0 camera is. what we needed was NIKE+ training on the new xbox one. that alone would've shut down the entire xbox fitness thing. its the same game they had for the 360 which was excellent but at times the camera would lose you on the original kinect. the newer kinect never lost you.

That nike_ traininer, had me drop a cool 35 in 3 months and get it tight. not just lose the weight. but actually get back in athletic form. since it was geared towards athletes. Thats all they need to do. let the Nike's, Addidas, make a few of their own games. beach body too if they want to get in on it. it doesnt need to be this big subscription service unless they know how to market xboxs to the masses as a fitness tool.

you want to know how you market xbox fitness as a TOOL? You go to the actual Big name Gyms and start giving them XBox ones and kinects to use. then the ladies will be like "whats that?" thats how you do it. but all this tells me is that the video game one offs fitness ones will probably come back. the only reason they wouldnt come back is because the xbox is no longer force bundled with the kinect. forcing it meant everyone had a camera to use any fitness program. so it wouldnt feel like yet an addtl charge to them if they decided to get a fitness game down the line.

Go to the gym or get insanity why would you workout with a video game
The gym is crowded during after work hours. everyone doesnt want to workout at 5am in the morning. and everyone doesnt have the time to go late at night. read my post above. that xbox fitness or i should say the kinect 2.0 + any fitness video or non video if you take it back to the xbox 360 and the NIKE+ training game. thats all you need to chop it down and get right. at your house.

ask me how long have i ever ran to the gym without stopping? maybe a month. why? there's always an excuse. I'm tired. dont feel like driving to the gym. it's raining, i dont feel like driving to the gym and back home in the rain. its too crowded(which is true), i dont want to wake up early to go to the gym, the gym is too far from my house/job. etc, etc etc.

But ask me how many times did i stop when i was using that original xbox 360 + kinect NIKE+ game? I never stopped unless i was injured. they had 1 month, 2 month, 3 month, programs. i did approx 9 months worth of programs on their. had the wife on it too. she wasnt a believer either. until she kept seeing me on it and kept asking how much you weigh now? i was like you better get with me on it. just walking a lot is cool but its even better if you switch it up. it breaks the monotony.

but again. i think they should've literally gave it to NIKE and let them put it together for them. even though i did like doing insanity and p90x, etc on the new fitness thru xbox one. there is nothing better than that NIKE+ training. NOTHING.

with the new xbox it could've been expanded more. again this thing would test you in the beginning. then build you a program based on how well/poorly you did on the tests. flexibility, athleticism, aerobic(stamina). and the more you did it, the more it would increase things and switch up the exercises you would do. only a real life traininer would do that. most people wont do that on their own even if they hit the gym. they usually hit the same machines or dead weights and go for the same jog or treadmill/elliptical/bike. they switch up days but its the same regimen. you have to switch it up because that helps quickly develop your muscle mass as well keeps your mind from getting super bored. this is coming from a dude that was an athlete but never liked just straight working out due to it being boring as hell.

Playstanleys shouldnt make fun of this L. yall should hope it succeeds so you could one day get something like it or better. It's like me hating on that PS VR. i hope it works out well even though i dont own a ps4. if it doesn its better for all of us later on down the line.

the only reason VR is hyped now is due to the Wii, xbox kinect and PS eye. that was the first time you got gamers in on the VR experience to some degree. the actual glasses putting you IN the game is the next step.

its certain things we can beef about. but this aint one of them.

please tell me its NIKE. Please.. and i hope they utilize the kinect sensor. for those that dont have a kinect. fine. they dont have to use it. but for us who do. utilize the sensor. thats the only way you know you're doing it properly.

Bruh :snoop: You been missing out. Xbox fitness is free, always been free. The idea was for it to be free for the first year, then you would have to pay a yearly subscription. Once a year passed, they kept it mostly free but charged for premium content. One being beach body which you mentioned but I guess didn't realize was there. Not only that, they made beach body workouts exclusively for Xbox fitness. P90, insanity, a bunch of others. I use the Mossa workouts a few times a week still :manny:

Just one month ago they added the ability to take your purchased and use it offline so once again.. This news makes no sense. Must be a licensing issue and they wanna do it this way to cut there losses. This will do more damage than good imo because it justifies the fears of the digital only nay sayers :francis:

At least they not trying to PS Now a nikka :whew:
