I'm rocking Windows 7 for like at least 3 more years. Don't see the point of an upgrade. 7 is extremely reliable.

On another note, I decided to go in the Windows store here at Lenox Mall and try the Surface tablets. Took me all of 15 seconds to figure out how to use it. From the brief look I had in the store, Microsoft got the UI down smooth for the tablet/mobile devices.

I'll take a pass on this one.
Windows 9 will probably be great. All they have to do is add the start menu(confirmed) and have it auto-detect what kind of device you have and put itself in desktop or modern UI mode(confirmed). Not to mention, there will be Windows 9 tablets that start at $99. That may be game over considering one could install bluestacks and get the entire Android library of apps and access to the Google Play store.

hell no that shyt aint true. They'd lose money. They talking about windows 9 being free for people using Windows 7+?? How many people even use versions older then 7? it's basically gonna be a free OS which we all know MS aint about that.
its a lotta people still on XP. a lot of companies still on XP because it was solid. & is a tad bit better then XP. which is why i'm still on 7. and since i dont yet have a tablet or touchscreen laptop. 8 is not necessary for me. if i did, i would've been on 8. I will be hopping on 9 though.
