Yeah sure you can possibly play the game OFFLINE on the harddrive, but what happens when you play only mulitplayer games and you need the server to maintain a constant connection???

If the game is relying on the server, a disc won’t magically make the server work.If you have a discless drive and MULTIPLAYER only game and if the server goes out then how can you play the game?!!?

You need a connection and valid servers to play, I think people know that going in for multiplayer games.And you see NO PROBLEM with a MP only game that you cannot play if the connection is broken constantly??? or other games that NEED the server???
I was strictly a physical person when it came to gaming. But dlc (which I hate) kind of forced me into change. Also getting a physical version of a game and then still having to install and download updates to play are lame. All in all the only advantage of having a physical copy of the game now is for collecting purpose or resell.True...

I'm glad I'm a casual because I'll just stop gaming again. I don't buy games retail. We should be campaigning to change digital ownership rights because all we are doing is leasing things. If we are going to be all digital then I should have the option of multiple back ups beside just their servers. I should be able to transfer ownership of something I supposedly own as well. Fans are stupid if they go for this without much challenge. Fukk around and see your purchases disappear or get altered without your consent. Give me a dongle key if you have to but don't expect me to believe they will keep this on the level
Already been through this game with other digital purchasing platforms (itunes)... loose your login or something and you lost everything. Don't forget all the countries that have gamers living in places with trash internet.
