Microsoft Selling Dell's Venue 8 Pro for $99 Monday Only

Looking for an awesome deal on a Windows 8.1 tablet? Microsoft has a bargain for you: the Dell Venue 8 Pro for just a mere $99 USD. This tablet will be on sale this Monday only, and you'll need to not only find a Microsoft store near you or hover on the Microsoft online store, but be one of the first buyers that day, as the discount will be limited.

According to reports, the sale is part of Microsoft's new 12 days of deals promotion, which promises a sale each day until the Christmas week arrives. Kicking off this discount bonanza is the Dell tablet, knocked down to $99 from the normal price tag of $299 at retail outlets and online stores. That's a huge discount!

But here's the catch: The $99 price tag is only good at Microsoft retail stores for the first 20 buyers. For everyone else, the price will be $199 until the end of the day; the price rolls back to its original $299 after midnight. The price will also be good until stock is depleted, a rep told The Verge, and some stores may only have ten units on hand while others could have more.

The good news is that this $99 price tag will also be good at Microsoft's online store for the first 100 orders. And just like the brick-and-mortar stores, the price tag will jump up to $199 for customer #101 and later until the end of the day, or until the supply is exhausted, whichever comes first. After that, the tablet will resume its $299 price tag.

Typically, Microsoft's retail stores open at 10 AM on weekdays.

Dell's Windows 8.1 tablet features an 8-inch IPS display with a 1280 x 800 resolution and 10-point capacitive touch. The screen is backed by an Intel Atom processor Z3740D, 2 GB of DDR3L-RS single channel memory clocked at 1600 MHz, Intel HD graphics, and 32 GB of internal storage.

The tablet also has a 1.2MP camera on the front, a 5MP camera on the back, dual-band Wireless N and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, a microUSB 2.0 port, and more. The tablet comes packed with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013, measures just 0.35-inches thin, and weighs 0.87 pounds.

This is seriously a nice tablet, puts nexus 7 and ipad mini to shame. I use mines way more than my Nexus 10. If you get the 32GB version you will need to get a 32 or 64GB micro sd card for storage plus it comes with Office.

This pad is the real deal, but i recently purchased a Nokia 2520 and i think its the best tablet i've ever owned. The price on this Dell Venue Pro can't be beat though.
