You have one?
We are not talking pro environment. I know all about pro environment I did networking for years. The business environment is still transitioning from Win XP. That has nothing do with Win 8.1 being a better OS. It's more efficient, has better security and if you dont like the metro interface you can boot directly to desktop.Lol,
Windows 7 takes that crown friend, you wont find windows 8 installed in a professional environment, I just came off a 3 month contract downgrading back to windows 7...
to me, its probably great if you have a laptop with a touchscreen interface.
It can be bypassed with in the OS.The metro ui needs toM$ need to put those live tiles to the og desktop.
NopeDamn downgrading....shyt so I poured jelly on myself updating to windows 8
Nope
That why in Win 8.1 you can boot directly into desktop. But yes most large companies will stick with Win 7Yeah I like windows 8...but I can imagine if I had it on my work computer I wouldn't...

Ok for you to be in the tech field either you playing dumb or not as knowledgeable as you think you are. Now I could type a long list and post links etc like I usually do. But Im not in the mood to argue with you, that your M.O. But Im gonna let you research it. Win 8/8.1 kernel is built upon what was learned from Win 7.
Wow, what we learn when its not mixed up in console fanboy wars. Trust I now the grind of networking certs and doing jobs.no, im not trying to argue, you are giving vague points that can be found on the back of the box, IM not some tech guru who has ten million certs, i got a a plus a network plus and a security plus....nowadays you can hardly get by with that, but i manage...
your not telling me anything, i think your just going off of what something or someone else said.
more secure...more efficient....at what??? at doing what???
. Ironically I work for a bank now for the last 6 yrs. But I still do side jobs from time to time. But anyways here is a decent article talking about it. By designing Windows 8 for tablets, Microsoft was forced to put a lot of effort into streamlining the entire OS for battery-powered, wimpy (Atom and ARM) mobile devices. As a result, Windows 8 boots up faster, and the OS itself consumes less RAM and CPU cycles than Windows 7. For mobile users this means more battery life and snappier performance — but for Desktop users, this means Windows 8 is simply faster than Windows 7.
Let’s break it down.

if you are going for certs....get a cisco anything, the sh1t I have can get you ok work like maybe 40-50 racks a year, a aplus alone can only get u 10-15/hr depending, thats with me working sometimes over 10 hour days and all those certs getting 45k.....cisco really separates people, I hate doing this sh1t all day so now im schooling for audio engineering.
