Don’t think anyone “defended” it either as there’s nothing to really to defend.
Only thing people have done is talk about why the layoffs happened and the state of the industry and the economy as a whole.
And in the context of business it’s actually “bad” business to NOT cut jobs that aren’t producing profit.
Now you can talk about wether it’s bad morally, but that’s a whole different conversation.
