Microsoft to reveal a "major 3rd party game" that will be free w/XBO says CVG

Microsoft has signed a landmark deal to bundle a "major third-party title" free with every Xbox One launch system across Europe, CVG understands.

Each new Xbox One console sold in Europe (and perhaps the US) will come free with the title that alone will retail at £40 or higher, in an attempt to kick away at the £80 premium Xbox One has over Sony's PS4.

A source with knowledge of the deal, who wished to remain anonymous, said the developments were part of Microsoft's goal of adding value to its system without lowering its £429 release day price.

The specific game set to be bundled with Xbox One launch systems was not named, although it's understood to be a "major" Christmas release.
Striking a deal of this magnitude is thought to have cost Microsoft further millions in budget as it prepares to launch its next-generation Xbox around the world.

Reports coming out of the convention is something major happening with Fifa. EA, and Microsoft. There are giant XB1 banners all over the Fifa booth and Fifa is only being shown on XB1. On top of that there are banners that are blacked out near the booths where it looks like something is going to be revealed.

Bundle Madden in the US Fifa in Europe that would be crazy if they did that

The thing is though, Xbox One has already been delayed in quite a few EU countries. Defies the point of this deal in those countries. Elsewhere however it should go down well.

I've heard It's Fifa, but not the regular one, It's a game called Fifa World.
They're gonna have to lower the price, because they're considering the euro to be of the same value of the dollar they've already lost the European market just with that. 100 euros can buy them a new controller plus a game for the PS4.
I believe 90% of new gen european buyers are gonna get the PS4.

Bundling FIFA would be great, but most Euros see through the bullshyt they were trying to pull and wouldn't forget. FIFA and PS4 still cheaper too.

If MS was launching all across Europe with no countries being pushed back to next year that would have REALLY been good for them. But it defeats the purpose IMO.
